Time Off, over in the Eastern States

Trent

Drove to Perth from Cascade, saw our nephew Trent then flew over to Rockhampton via Brisbane.
We had a very busy & enjoyable week in Rockhampton & Gladstone catching up with friends, special thanks to Phill & Shell. We also checked on our house & storage shed, everything was ok especially after all the rain Rockhampton has had over the summer.

Us with Phill & Shell

Dale & Ty
We flew down to Sydney where our daugther Dianne & hubby Ty met us then we drove to their home at Singleton near Newcastle. They took us to our first ever live game of NRL, Dale & I are born & bred AFL supporters (Essendon & St Kilda) Ty is a Newcastle knights supporter. One thing for sure it doesn't matter whether its AFL or NRL the umpire always gets abused. The game was different but not that bad, still trying to work the cheerleader thing! The Newcastle Knights won so Ty was happy.

Our time with Dianne & Ty went far to quickly & we had to leave and we flew to Albury on the border of NSW & Victoria to see Dale's brother Jeff & Josey

Its easter now and we have just arrived to spend it with our daugther Marie & hubby Brad & our granddaugthers Emma & Hannah at Mount Beauty which is at the base of Falls Creek in the snow fields in Victoria's northeast.

Dale with his Salmon

We went fishing at Stokes Beach on Saturday. At the start of the day everyone but Dale & James were catching Bream at the inlet. We drove out along Stokes Beach, had a bit of fun there then Dale caught a Salmon then so did James. We had a beautiful meal of fresh fish for dinner to celebrate Dale's birthday.

Weekend Off in March

Reve, Rohonda, Jenni & Dale
We had 20ml of rain last week so we got to have a few days off, which worked out really well as friends Rohonda & Reve, who met in Darwin 3 years are travelling around over this way. We met at Lake King for a drink or 6 at the local Tavern. Next morning we went to Wave Rock & had a surf.

Work in March

After carting the Super Dale went to Lake Tay, its a natural Gypsum pit north west of Cascade. Dale loaded himself at the pit then came back to the farms at Cascade and stockpiled the Gypsum to spread out before the seeding starts late April/May.

Back to Work, end of Febraury

Filling the Spreader

Dale got the OK to return to work, which he was very happy about, the Professor who did the op is very please & as we said it was a binign tumor. During last month he has been carting super from Esperance to the farms at Cascade and spreading it on the pastures.

Sunday 13th February,2011

Sorry for not posting an update over the last month, we had to have last week off & go into Esperance as Dale had to have a lump on the left side of his face near his ear/jawline removed. Its all OK, it was a benign tumor, the Proferror/Doctor had to remove his salivar gland as the growth was in it. Dale is on the mend, he is giving cheek to everyone & getting bored so it wont be long until its back to work for him.

After having a month off its back to work for me, I've been asked to clean the Cascade School & local hall.
